Dina Hampton

Author, educator, dog-obsessed

Dina spent over two decades teaching preschool, where she worked closely with neurodivergent children and children with diverse learning styles and support needs. Her classrooms were spaces where differences were honored, big feelings were welcomed, and every child’s voice mattered.

In addition to her work as an educator, Dina is the mother of two Deaf adult children, an experience that has deeply shaped her perspective on communication, accessibility, and inclusion. Both in and out of the classroom, Dina has long believed that understanding begins with listening, and that stories are one of the most powerful ways to build connection.

Dina's stories are rooted in...

Empathy

Understanding big feelings, different abilities, and unique perspectives—because every child deserves to feel seen.

Kindness

Small acts of kindness create safe spaces where children can connect, grow, and find common ground.

Laughter

Joy brings people together. Through humor, warmth, and playful moments, stories become a gateway to belonging.

Together, these pillars cultivate connection and joy—reminding children (and adults) that while we may be different, we all belong.
